Amber McLeod, MA

about my Approach:

You deserve a therapist who truly gets you. I help women, LGBTQ+ folks, and neurodivergent individuals (such as those with autism and ADHD) heal and feel at home in themselves. In our work together, you'll find a compassionate, affirming space where you can show up exactly as you are without apology. Through humor, deep listening, and a collaborative approach, we’ll work together to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, executive functioning challenges, and the weight of feeling overwhelmed, all within a space that honors your most authentic self.

My approach is rooted in person-centered care and draws from a diverse therapeutic toolkit, including neurodivergent-affirming strategies, psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed CBT, feminist theory, and Multicultural Orientation (MCO).

I know starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we’ll build self-trust, strengthen your coping skills, and help you reconnect with the parts of you that have always been worthy of love, safety, and belonging. If this resonates with you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
